About Clintonville Curling Club
Clintonville Curling Club: Small-Town Wisconsin Curling Since 1948
Clintonville Curling Club has been the curling home of Clintonville, Wisconsin, since 1948. The club owns its own building with two sheets of dedicated curling ice, and it is a member of the Wisconsin State Curling Association, in a state where the game runs deep.
Small as it is, Clintonville takes its turn on the state stage. In February 2024 the club hosted the 49th Wisconsin State Mixed Championship, won by Team Roth, and the club also hosts a men’s bonspiel in January.
Members have invested steadily in keeping the ice going. In the mid-2000s the club installed a new compressor at a cost of about $40,000 including electrical work, which brought savings on utility bills, and its first reverse raffle raised roughly $15,000 toward the mortgage. Membership at the time stood at about 150, with an influx of junior curlers.
