Charleswood Curling Club: Over 75 Years of Community Passion

First established in 1946 as a modest three-sheet natural ice rink, the Charleswood Curling Club is a historic winter sports icon in southwestern Winnipeg, Manitoba. To keep up with explosive local popularity, the club constructed its permanent modern home at 4000 Grant Avenue between 1955 and 1956, expanding the playing surface to five premium sheets of artificial ice.

The club is globally famous in the curling community as the proud home base of the legendary Jeff Stoughton team, who captured multiple provincial, national, and world championship titles. Operated by dedicated community directors, the club offers a family-friendly atmosphere with evening leagues, junior instructions, and weekend bonspiels, complete with a cozy social lounge and dining hall.
