About St. Croix Curling Center
St. Croix Curling Center: Curling on the Banks of the St. Croix
St. Croix Curling Center was founded in 2018 to serve curlers in the eastern Twin Cities and western Wisconsin, becoming the seventh curling club in the Twin Cities area. The club plays at St. Mary’s Point Ice Arena on Itasca Avenue South in Lakeland, a short drive from Stillwater and the St. Croix River.
The arena’s hockey ice is converted to five sheets for curling, with league play on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Newcomers start with Learn to Curl sessions and can progress through Curling 101 and Curling 201 courses before joining a league.
The club is also looking ahead to a dedicated curling facility, working in partnership with the City of Stillwater and the City of St. Mary’s Point on early plans.
