About Fosston Curling Club
Fosston Curling Club: A Young Club Building Curling in Northwest Minnesota
Fosston Curling Club is the curling club of Fosston, a small city in Polk County in northwestern Minnesota. The club was formally established around 2022. With no dedicated curling sheets of its own, the club plays on the community hockey rink, and with community and city financial backing it has acquired its own stones, brooms and hacks. Local individuals and businesses sponsor stones, each one marked with a custom top.
The signature event is the Fosston Novice Bonspiel; its fourth edition, in February 2023, drew 14 teams competing for Fosston Bucks, with Garrett Carlin’s rink taking the title. The club’s longer-term aim is its own building with three sheets of ice.
