About Diamond State Curling Club
Diamond State Curling Club: Delaware’s Home for Curling
The Diamond State Curling Club brings curling to the First State. Founded in 2016, the club plays on arena ice at Patriot Ice Center on John Campbell Road in Newark, the University of Delaware town in northern New Castle County, where four sheets are laid out on the rink.
The club runs leagues through the season and an Intro to Curling program for first-timers. Its signature event is The 302 Spiel, named for Delaware’s area code, and the club also plays friendlies with neighboring clubs, such as Crabby Diamond Day, a sold-out eight-team meet with the Chesapeake Curling Club held in Easton, Maryland. Special events and group outings round out the calendar.
