About Des Moines Curling Club
Des Moines Curling Club: Bringing the Roaring Game to Central Iowa
The Des Moines Curling Club is central Iowa’s home for curling. Founded in 2013, the club serves the Des Moines metro area and curls in West Des Moines.
Like many newer clubs across the Midwest, Des Moines is an arena club: rather than owning a dedicated curling building, it plays on hockey ice marked out with four sheets. The club is a member of USA Curling, connecting Iowa curlers with the national network of leagues, bonspiels and championships, and it offers Iowans a local place to learn and play one of the oldest team sports on ice.
